So what is this 'NetworkDB' all about then?
NetworkDB is a breakfast networking club for small business owners who live and/or operate in Discovery Bay and it's close surrounds.
Established for the last two years, we meet fortnightly at Zaks for coffee and breakfast, with two very simple aims:
- firstly we support each other. If you've ever worked from home you will know it can be a lonely existence - and asking the wall or your cat for help when you hit a problem, doesn't always solicit the best answers. At NetworkDB we discuss barriers and hurdles and how to solve common problems applicable to many small businesses, we also celebrate successes and share ideas and contacts to help each other get the best from our own community
- second, we seek where possible, to positively endorse and recommend each other's goods and services, but without the pressure to 'sell' imposed by some other networking associations. This is about helping our friends and neighbours be successful and reach their full potential with the power of a community behind them.

Ah come on. We all feel the same way when the alarm goes off, but our members tell us they are energised by the environment and our get-togethers spur them on for the week ahead. Plus, a Zak's coffee or full brekkie will banish all memories of your pillow and leave you ready to face the day!

We have all sorts of speakers come through our doors - we try to deliver you dinner, networking, a glass of something chilled and a business talk with the simple brief of equipping you with a new skill or piece of knowledge which will make a difference to your business tomorrow. We've had a marketing guru talking about what you should spend your hard earned dollars on marketing-wise, a PR expert teaching us how to write your own press release, a sales trainer doing Sales 101 and a brilliant recent session on Goal Setting in 2011. We have lots of brilliant sessions coming up - have a look at The Supper Club Diary tab for what's on for the rest of the year. Be sure to book quickly for anything you like the look of - sessions are limited to a maximum number of participants, to ensure everyone gets a little personal attention from our speakers.
