ArtWalkDB 2011 took place on Friday 6th May - read about it below
Hot on the heels of a successful debut in
2010, ArtWalk DB was back in 2011 and better than ever! On Friday, May 6th DB Plaza played host to an evening that showcased the talent of local artists while
encouraging guests to discover new art, mingle with neighbours and raise money
for a good cause.
With the support of D Deck Marketing and D Deck restaurants, ArtWalk DB featured out-of-this-world exhibits from DB-based artists, an ArtJam, Poetry Jam and Graffiti Walk featuring graffiti art by some of New York, Paris and Tokyo’s hottest artists. The evening also offered free tastings of wine, chocolate and other delectable goodies.
ArtWalk DB is also about something bigger – charity. All proceeds from ArtWalk DB will benefit MADaboutART (www.madaboutart.org), an organization that helps unite children around the world in understanding and fighting HIV and AIDS through art and education.
We are delighted to announce that this year we raised an incredible HKD$31,168 just a fraction more than double last year's amount! Thank you DB!
We invite you to flag an interest in sponsoring the 2012 ArtWalkDB event and help raise awareness of a worthwhile cause while, at the same time, promoting your own products and services to the Discovery Bay community. Our sponsorship needs are modest (see below). In order to maintain the integrity of the event, we would only have a maximum of 3 Picasso sponsors and 5 Monet sponsors.
